We are pleased to announce that Susan Metcalfe has joined us as a Partner in our Litigation and Intellectual Property groups.
Ms. Metcalfe has over eighteen years' experience as a trial attorney handling a broad array of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, from trademark, trade secret, and non-competition disputes to cases involving economic espionage and computer fraud and abuse. Ms. Metcalfe has substantial experience litigating all categories of franchise disputes, and has obtained significant victories on behalf of her franchisor clients in high-profile termination cases, franchisee challenges to the independent contractor status, and alleged misrepresentation in connection with franchise sales.
Ms. Metcalfe is a published author and frequent speaker on franchise law, litigation, intellectual property and technology. She prides herself on working as a trusted partner to achieve results that best fit her clients' business goals.
Prior to joining Potomac Law, Ms. Metcalfe was a Partner in Duane Morris' Philadelphia office. She earned her J.D. cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law where she served as Associate Editor of the Penn State Law Review. She received her B.A. in English summa cum laude from Elizabethtown College and her M.A. in English from the University of Virginia.
