We are pleased to announce that Neil McGaraghan has joined us as a Partner in our Litigation group and will spearhead the launch of our Boston office.
Mr. McGaraghan focuses his practice on complex dispute resolution in federal and state courts, administrative proceedings, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Mr. McGaraghan represents both plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes litigation involving private parties, regulatory bodies, and other governmental entities. His clients are public and private companies, financial institutions, state agencies, charities and individuals who rely on him for sound advice and effective advocacy in a wide variety of legal challenges.
Mr. McGaraghan's commercial practice includes the financial services sector, public procurement challenges, trademark and trade secret litigation, partnership dissolution battles, and complex commercial distribution and licensing disputes. An experienced trial lawyer, Mr. McGaraghan has secured victories for his clients in jury and bench trials, AAA arbitrations, and FINRA arbitrations. In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Mr. McGaraghan represents individuals and institutions in will contests and trust administration disputes in the probate court and in a pre-litigation advisory capacity.
Mr. McGaraghan maintains an active pro bono practice, regularly representing clients in civil rights and civil liberties litigation, including a successful effort to win the release of twelve men wrongfully detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Mr. McGaraghan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
