We are pleased to announce that Jessica Chod has joined us as a Counsel in the Corporate group.
Jessica Chod's practice focuses on general corporate and contract law matters, as well as corporate governance and best practices. Prior to joining Potomac Law, Ms. Chod served as a corporate counsel of a multi-national corporation and as outside counsel. Ms. Chod has worked on a wide range of transactions from initial funding for small start-ups to multi-billion dollar public company mergers. In addition, she has experience working with clients of all sizes that operate across the globe and in various stages of the business life-cycle.

Over the years, Ms. Chod has assisted clients with private transactions, including a management buy-out of a U.S. subsidiary of an international company. She routinely provides counsel on general corporate matters, including drafting contracts and reviewing vendor contracts. Ms. Chod has assisted clients seeking funding in the form of equity, including the preparation of related transaction documents such as subscription agreements and private placement memorandums, and she has advised public companies, including smaller reporting companies, with respect to compliance with SEC rules and regulations.
Ms. Chod earned her J.D. Order of the Coif, High Honors, from the Emory University School of Law in 2009 where she also served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory Law Journal. She also received her M.B.A. from Emory University-Goizueta Business School the same year. Ms. Chod received her B.S. as a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar from Cornell University in 2005.
