We are pleased to announce that Chuck Lobsenz has joined our firm as a Partner in our Patent, Intellectual Property, and Technology Transactions groups.

Mr. Lobsenz has over 25 years of experience practicing law. He is a registered patent attorney and has prepared and prosecuted patents relating to electrical and mechanical technologies as well as software, computer related inventions and business methods. Mr. Lobsenz has structured, drafted and negotiated agreements of almost every conceivable kind related to technology companies. He has a particular expertise in assisting early stage technology companies in connection with the strategic creation of their patent portfolios from the ground up. In addition, Mr. Lobsenz often serves as outside general counsel to technology companies helping them address a variety of business and legal issues as they arise. Prior to law school, he worked as a semiconductor design engineer as well as a software engineer.

Mr. Lobsenz received his J.D. cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University in 1991 where he was a member of the Justinian Honor Society and also served as Associate Editor of the Albany Journal of Science and Technology. He received his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bucknell University in 1985.
