Potomac Law is pleased to announce that Partner Michael Lennon has again been listed in the World Intellectual Property Review’s (WIPR) Leader Directory for 2024.

WIPR Leaders is a one-stop guide to the leading IP practitioners in the world. The handbook lists over 2000 lawyers across patent, trademark, and copyright practices. Following an extensive nomination period, WIPR’s research team vetted the nominated lawyers for suitability by exploring their work. This meant looking at practice history, industry expertise and notable cases, as well as any additional activities, such as writing and teaching responsibilities, which have allowed the lawyers to shape and influence other and future IP practitioners.

Michael is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Patent, Intellectual Property, and Technology and IP Transactions Practices, focusing on complex litigation, licensing and business transactions relating to intellectual property rights.

His litigation practice includes representing clients in disputes relating to patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, patent IPR post-grant trials and reexamination proceedings, trade secret misappropriation, Lanham Act claims, International Trade Commission unfair trade practices investigations, unauthorized name/image/likeness use, and technology transactions and licensing.

His transactional practice includes advising and representing clients in matters relating to intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, joint venture, and commercialization contracts, IP monetization, purchases and sales of IP assets and portfolios, IP asset evaluation and acquisition due diligence, and IP risk assessment and mitigation.

Over his decades of practicing law, Michael has represented and acted as an advisor to multinational technology companies in industries ranging from medical devices to automotive systems. He has also appeared as counsel in intellectual property disputes in numerous United States federal district courts, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
