Potomac Law is pleased to announce that Partners Senwan Akhtar and Michael Lennon have been named to the New York Metro Super Lawyers list for 2023, a distinction given to only five percent of attorneys in the New York Metro region.
Senwan Akhtar received the honor for the Business/Corporate practice category, and Michael Lennon was recognized for his work in Intellectual Property.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
Akhtar concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate and real estate law. She represents clients on corporate mergers and acquisitions transactions, and the structuring of new business entities and joint ventures. Akhtar advises lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions. She also represents clients on all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and the negotiation of leases for office, industrial and retail properties. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was listed in New Jersey Super Lawyers in the Business/Corporate practice area from 2018 to 2021 and in the New York Metro Super Lawyers list for the same practice in 2022.
Lennon focuses his practice on complex litigation, licensing and business transactions relating to intellectual property rights. He has represented and acted as an advisor to numerous multinational technology companies in industries ranging from medical devices to wind power systems. In transactional matters, he acts as both legal counsel and as a strategic advisor to his clients, and he has negotiated numerous agreements relating to the acquisition, licensing and monetization of intellectual property. He has appeared as trial counsel in more than 125 patent infringement, trade secret, licensing dispute and patent-antitrust lawsuits in the United States federal district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Lennon received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.S. from New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He has been listed in New York Super Lawyers for Intellectual Property since 2015. In 2018, Lennon was named to the Top 100: New York – Metro Super Lawyers List.
