We are pleased to announce that Danielle Dietrich has joined the firm’s Pennsylvania office as a Partner. She has nearly twenty years of law firm experience and focuses her practice on the needs of small and diverse owned businesses and health care providers, including long term care. With specialized expertise in the representation of Small, Disadvantaged, Disabled, Minority, Women, Veteran and LGBT-owned businesses, Ms. Dietrich serves as outside general counsel for these businesses in a variety of areas and helps them resolve legal needs, such as contract matters, intellectual property issues, collections, employment issues and corporate governance and growth.
Ms. Dietrich assists businesses with obtaining and maintaining diversity certifications and represents companies applying for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification through the United States Department of Transportation DBE Program and state agencies. She reviews corporate documentation before the application to identify and resolve potential problem areas before submitting the application. She also represents companies in the appeal process when their DBE, WBE or MBE certification applications are denied, or when certifications are at risk of being revoked.
Often, she serves as a legal advisor to long-term care providers in recovering funds due to them as well as in a variety of regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. Ms. Dietrich represents skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and personal care homes with handling Medical Assistance Long-Term Care appeals, drafting internal policies, collections, guardianships, disputes with agents under Power of Attorney, defending appeals of discharge notices, HIPAA breach response and analysis, and Medicaid audit responses.
Ms. Dietrich has broad litigation experience and has received favorable verdicts for her clients in federal and state bench and jury trials, arbitration and administrative and regulatory proceedings. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
