Potomac Law served as counsel to Protas Solutions Inc. (“Protas”) in its acquisition by Criterion Systems Inc. (“Criterion”).  The transaction was announced September 21, 2021.

Protas, a government contractor providing data science, software engineering and management consulting services to the Intelligence Community, will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Criterion in its Intelligence Solutions business unit.  Founders of Protas, Anthony Monas and William Monas, have taken new leadership roles in Criterion.

Criterion is a cybersecurity and IT services company. Since 2005, Criterion has provided cybersecurity, IT infrastructure operations, cloud/data center management, and systems engineering for our nation’s mission-critical environments across the Federal Government. Criterion is headquartered in Vienna, VA, with sites across the United States.
