Potomac Law Partner Roberta Anderson Sutton is quoted in a Law 360 Insurance Authority article titled "Driving Data Suits Highlight Auto Privacy, Insurance Risks.” The article addresses a recent wave of litigation alleging privacy-related issues arising out of the extensive data collection tools in modern vehicles.  

Sutton told Law360 that “data collection presents insurers and brokers alike with market opportunities, but both face a growing and increasingly complex regulatory landscape and risk legal action and significant liability.” 

 "Privacy laws and regulations often struggle to keep pace with rapid advancements in technology, and I believe that this is particularly evident and acute in the context of modern automotive technologies," she said.
