Potomac Law partner Isaac Mamaysky recently co-authored an article, forthcoming in the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law, about the legal implications of the pandemic-driven shift from the traditional office to remote work. A key consideration from an employment law standpoint is that remote employees trigger compliance obligations in the states where they are physically located, rather than the states in which their employers are located. A brief overview of the topic was also published in Hotel Management, specifically considering remote work in the hospitality industry.
